Repetitive Stress Injury

You may be one of many who suffer from a Repetitive Stress Injury, resulting in mild symptoms such as chronic muscle soreness, to more serious symptoms such as loss of grip strength or feeling.

What is a Repetitive Stress Injury?

A repetitive stress injury is caused by overuse of a certain body part over a period of time. Repeated motions result in small, often undetected tears in the muscle finders, called Micro-trauma. These torn muscle fibers accumulate over time, causing binding of the muscles, that can lead to painful peripheral nerve entrapment.

A repetitive stress injury can be caused by almost anything -- from how you swing a golf club, to use the computer, to hammer a nail and more. The best known repetitive stress injury is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which impacts the hands and wrists when overused.

Dr. Ducey-Clark has helped many recover from such injuries utilizing soft tissue techniques, physical therapy modalities, cold laser, bio-mechanics, structural skeletal alignment, stretching and strengthening rehabilitative exercises.

At Falling Leaves Health, we will determine if you are a candidate for treatment within her clinic based on detailed history and assessment of your initial examination. Once your assessment has been completed, we will design your own personalized treatment plan that will fit your lifestyle and healthcare goals.
